Trubrics
Powering AI with user insights
Product
OpenAI's successful approach highlights the significance of user-centric AI development. Rather than conducting extended trials, they launched their models to the market and promptly addressed user concerns as they arose.
Models lacking continuous user feedback often face challenges in adoption and performance. Currently, companies rely on manual and ad hoc methods like user interviews or forms to collect feedback. However, there is currently no centralised way to collect user feedback while retaining metadata, such as the specific queries made by the users.
Trubrics is an insights tool for AI models to collect, manage and analyse user feedback.
Collect - Use the Trubrics SDK to collect user feedback directly from the model
Manage - All feedback is logged, analysed and managed in a centralised platform
Analyse - Develop further insights using advanced analytics to drive product decisions

Spotlight Analysis
Strengths
Rise of LLMs: user-centric development plays a big role in generative AI software so this should drive significant demand for Trubrics
Early partnerships: official integration with Streamlit (acquired by Snowflake) and a plugin for MLFlow (Databricks’ ML Platform)
Strong domain experience: the founding team has experience in growing industry leader (Seldon) from seed to Series B and leading various MLOps teams at Fortune 500 companies
Weaknesses
Embedded models: use cases without a clear consumer-facing interface will require more nuanced product features to extract user insights
Long-term moat: Trubrics will struggle to leverage data and build a competitive edge due to customers looking to protect their user insights
Market
UnitQ - Raised $30m Series B from Accel and others in September 2021
Humanloop - Raised $2.6m seed round from Index Ventures and others in July 2022
Why Trubrics?
With such high levels of enterprise AI spend, the demand for tools that assess the efficacy of these models seems self-evident.
